What MeowMC is
MeowMC is a fork of Paper 26.3:
- a parallel configuration system with its own files and its own schema counter, so nothing is added to Paper's two config classes;
- a built-in command suite (the
/meowsuite) for health, profiling and reporting, present in every jar with no plugin to install; - a first-run experience: setup mode, a login gate, an intro cinematic and a setup wizard;
- interactive holograms that work on a vanilla client with no resource pack.
It is not a drop-in replacement claim, a performance claim, or a compatibility guarantee for plugins under regionized execution. Those are statements that require measurement or a compatibility matrix, and neither exists.
The release posture
The current release is 1.0.0. Each release replaces the previous one: one jar, not a history of jars.
The version the server reports is the server's own version string plus the
configuration schema's _version counter. The file name's 1.0.0 is a
release-slot label — deliberately separate from the Minecraft version 26.3,
so the two can never diverge.
